That about 50% of professors would not hire somebody if they discovered that the person was a Christian should open your eyes to the challenges that young people will likely experience when they are sent off to college.
Many parents and church leaders probably focus more on preparing youth for the peer-pressure that they will experience in college. If, however, the young adult is more like I was when I went to college and enjoys thinking critically and asking tough questions, the intellectual challenges may do just as much damage if the young adult is unprepared. This is when lessons in Christian apologetics are crucial.
