About Acts 17:23

Welcome,

“For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.” (ESV)

Paul the Apostle made that statement when he addressed the people of Athens on Mars Hill. Mars Hill was a place where people gathered to discuss philosophy, theology and other issues of the day. When some had heard Paul’s “strange” teachings about the resurrection, they invited Paul to speak amongst them. Paul used this opportunity to reason with them about the work of Jesus Christ, which lead some to become believers.

This blog is inspired by the efforts of Paul when he spoke at Mars Hill. By providing commentary on the social and political issues of our day, I hope to lead others to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I view the world first as a Christian, but through many other lenses as well. I am also a Black-American, the firstborn son of immigrants, a husband, a father, and a lawyer. My worldview has been shaped by each of these experiences.

Because I stand firm with my Christian faith, I don’t mind having my views challenged, in fact I encourage it. As long as you are polite and sincere, please feel free to comment on a post or contact me at Quasi-Paul@acts1723.com. I truly believe that I can learn and grow from different types of people. My prayer is that I can help you to learn and grow as well.

All For His Glory,

Adeniyi aka Quasi-Paul
